ROB RUN Beginner Guide: First Server, Cash and Base
A practical ROB RUN opening plan for the November 4 launch rules: join your squad, scout Looty Bay, find weapons, use documents for Tier 1 land and build a base.
Last updated: 2026-11-06
Start with the right server, then prepare a small first run. This is an opening plan assembled from developer announcements, not a tested speedrun or a claim about the fastest money farm. ROB RUN launched on Steam on November 4, 2026; older playtest advice can conflict with the launch rules.
1. Get your squad onto the same server
If your friends already play, confirm their server before planning the session. If starting together, use the EU / US East opening schedule and verify the actual server in game. To resolve the different-server party message, follow the Prison transfer instructions.
A fresh-server opening and a Federal Raid are different events. The former is a chance to start a new state; the latter resets an existing cycle. Do not read the opening timer as your current server’s wipe timer.
2. Scout before putting on a mask
In the developer’s gameplay overview, putting on a mask makes you a criminal in Looty Bay. Use the opportunity beforehand to look at your target, alarms and possible driving exits.
Our suggestion for a first session is to choose a manageable target and a route out before increasing the stakes. A large payout is not useful if you do not yet understand how to leave with it. Cops are other players, so a route that worked once is not guaranteed to stay clear.
3. Find a weapon; do not expect a free respawn pistol
The November 1 playtest note proposed a pistol after every death. The November 4 follow-up explicitly chose a different approach: easier weapon access, a cheaper basic pistol and more starter weapon spawns. Fresh-server patrol cops initially have pistols; stronger gear unlocks as a server ages.
Plan around the equipment you actually possess. We cannot give a verified map of weapon spawns or an exact unlock hour from that announcement.
4. Use documents for Tier 1 land
Under the same launch update, Tier 1 settlements and land rental cost documents, replacing cash. Advice to save only cash for the first rental is therefore outdated. Check the current in-game price before spending.
Base businesses received higher profits, while shipment dismantling became more profitable but slower, with fewer shipment drops. The Buletti can no longer carry shipments. These are reasons to reassess old routes, rather than proof of a single best farm or vehicle.
5. Build somewhere you can operate
According to the developer’s base management overview, structures and furniture are placed from inventory. Your base can provide storage, production and another respawn location, and it can be relocated with its contents.
A practical next goal after securing land is to arrange storage and understand your first production setup. A base is not complete protection: other players can raid it. Avoid treating all stored valuables as permanently safe.
6. Understand the seven-day reset
Kefir’s Federal Raid guide describes a seven-day cycle: plots, bases, weapons and cash reset into jail time and authority. Cosmetics, your name, tutorial progress, settings and accumulated jail time persist. A wipe is different from another player raiding your base.
The guide does not publish a universal UTC wipe timestamp. Check your server’s own information before planning a long session or an expensive upgrade.
Quick plan for your first session
- Confirm the same server with your friends.
- Scout a target and an exit before committing to a robbery.
- Find starter equipment without relying on a free pistol after death.
- Check the documents required for your first Tier 1 rental.
- Set up a base and read the current server’s wipe information.
What this guide does not yet verify
Exact weapon spawn coordinates, item prices, best profit per hour and prison sentence formulas need live testing. We will not present estimates as measured routes.
